We become aware of aromas after they are released into the environment and inhaled. Traditional delivery systems such as diffusers, sprays, plug-ins and candles disperse the aroma into the surrounding areas. This broadcasts the scents indiscriminately and therefore anyone who enters the environment will be able to smell it.
